Your wedding isn’t a template
It’s a reflection of who you are – the traditions you carried forward, the ones you left behind, and the moments you created because nothing else quite fit. That kind of wedding deserves photographs that honor it with the same intentionality.

What if your wedding didn’t look like everyone else’s
What if you skipped the venue that looked good on paper and chose a place that holds special meaning? What if you cut the guest list in half and filled the room only with people who genuinely belong there?
What if you stopped asking what your wedding was supposed to look like and started asking what yours should feel like?
That’s exactly the kind of wedding I’m here for.
Let’s Make It Happen!Every couple I work with made DELIBERATE CHOICES to get to their wedding day – choices that reflect their VALUES, their STORY, and what MATTERS MOST to them.
My job is to show up worthy of that TRUST. To photograph your day not just as it looked, but as it felt – with the same CARE AND INTENTION you brought to every decision along the way.

My Approach
I spend your wedding day the same way you spent planning it – paying close attention to what matters. I’m watching the way you look at each other when you think nobody’s looking. I’m close when your person tears up during a speech. I’m there for the moment between just the two of you that the rest of the room missed entirely.
When things need organizing – gathering people for family photos, keeping the day on track – I step in and handle it efficiently. That way you get to focus on enjoying your day.
Hi, I’m Sam!
I’m a Boston-based queer wedding photographer.
I know exactly what it means to build a wedding around who you are.
When my partner and I got married, we were deliberate about every detail. We honored my Chinese heritage through a traditional tea ceremony. We celebrated his Indian heritage through henna, guests in kurtas and traditional dresses, and rituals that made everyone feel at home. Our two cultures wove together because they both shaped who we are and how we love each other.
It’s the same value I approached every decision in my own wedding. I couldn’t imagine it any other way.
That’s what I bring to your wedding. A genuine understanding of what intentional planning looks like, and a deep respect for couples who are brave enough to build something true.
Some of my favorites to photograph are surprise proposals, multicultural weddings, and intimate elopements across MA and New England.

A Confession
I’m not primarily here to take photographs.

Don’t Get me Wrong
You’ll leave with a full gallery of images that show your wedding exactly as it was – that’s a given. But those photographs are the result of something else entirely.
They’re the result of you feeling completely at ease. Of your day unfolding exactly as you intended. Of two people so absorbed in their own wedding that they forget they’re being photographed.
That’s what I’m really here to create. The photographs just come with it.

Boston Wedding Photography FAQs

My approach is rooted in documentary wedding photography, which means I prioritize the honest, unscripted moments over stiff, traditional posing. I aim for a candid feel that captures the true energy of your day, paired with a true-to-color editing style. I want your photos to feel timeless—looking exactly the way you remember the light, the colors, and the emotions of the moment.
I certainly do. I thrive in the unscripted moments of multicultural celebrations, Jewish ceremonies, and Asian weddings. As an LGBTQ+ person and an inclusive wedding photographer, I prioritize creating a safe, celebrated space for every couple. Whether you’re planning a mixed-faith union or an intimate wedding filled with nontraditional, personal details, I’m here to capture your story exactly as it unfolds.
I do. I have a soft spot for the intimacy of smaller celebrations. As a wedding and elopement photographer, I offer specialized coverage for micro-weddings, city hall ceremonies, and intimate restaurant dinners. I believe that a 10-person wedding deserves the same thoughtful documentation as a 200-person gala.
Almost every couple tells me this during our first meeting! My documentary style is actually perfect for people who feel camera-shy. Instead of forcing you into rigid poses, I use gentle prompts that spark real interaction and laughter. My goal is to make it feel like we’re just hanging out while I happen to have a camera. You’ll be surprised at how quickly the “awkwardness” disappears when you’re just focusing on each other.
I take the safety of your memories incredibly seriously. Every camera I use has dual card slots, meaning every single shutter click is instantly recorded onto two separate memory cards for immediate redundancy. Once I’m home, your images are backed up to multiple hard drives. I treat your files with the same care I would my own family’s history.
You can generally expect to receive about 60 images for every hour of coverage. Your final gallery will be delivered via digital download with personal printing rights. My standard turnaround time for the full gallery is 6–8 weeks, though I always try to send over a few “sneak peeks” shortly after the wedding so you have something to celebrate with right away.
